When we founded the company 15 years ago, the idea was to develop products that combined high performance with low environmental impact. Today, we’ve achieved that, and we’re incredibly proud. Now the development continues – for your sake and for the environment.

Our story begins with a cup of coffee on a tree stump in the forest on a crisp January day 15 years ago. Our founder, Jens Tagesson, was out with his chainsaw when he realized, sitting there on the stump, that the market lacked guide bars of truly high quality.

That moment sparked the idea for what we now know as Tatec – a company driving the development of environmentally friendly products for the forestry, metal, and wood industries. Everything from guide bars to lubricants and marking inks.

Our sister company in Finland, Jarmat Oy, has been developing products for over 30 years that strengthen the Tatec offering. The common thread has always been that products sold under the Jarmat name should be the best on the market, with high quality and minimal environmental impact.

And after years of development, we can proudly say that our products perform perfectly. This not only guarantees high-quality and eco-friendly products, but also provides peace of mind for you as a customer and partner. But we’re not stopping here – what is good can always become even better.
